1976 PSA 9 George Brett going to Pluto.

Anyone want to take a gander where this will end? It's not the greatest centered '76 I've ever seen but there are only 5 of these graded as such.

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!
When I cracked a vending case of this product, all my Bretts had so much snow, it was ludicrous. I sent in a few for grading, but the best I got was a PSA 8 or a PSA 9 PD
I've now seen 4 examples of this card in PSA 9 and if I remember, none of them were that great (...chipped edges, print marks, centering issues, etc., seem to "be the norm"!)
Here are two scans (the second scan is from my 1976 registry set!)...

Edit: Actually, LOL! I've only seen 3 examples of this card as this card being offered is from Cincyfan's set, and I've seen it before!

Quicksilver Messenger Service - The Hat (Live) 1971
is this mccovey card worth the $35 investment? isn't the centering on this card often tricky or am i confused?
i have been looking at it for a moment and can't decide whether i should get it or not?

That card looks pretty nice to me! I'm confident if u "miss-out" on that example, another well-centered gem will pop-up for sale soon! As for $35? It is quite common. But again, that scan looks pretty sweet!

<< <i>WOW, I'd be chapped if I bought a PSA-9 that looked like those without seeing them first. I know . . . why would you buy one without seeing it first? Hypothethicaly speaking!
Speaking for myself, when "one gets caught-up" in building an all-time #1 1976 Topps 660 card registry set, all in PSA 10's and PSA 9's, it was difficult to pass-up a Brett in PSA 9.
But as this latest auction illustrates, "rare is rare", and certain cards, this Brett being a good example, on any given day, a PSA 9 will command "nose bleed" prices, even these "slider PSA 9 examples".
One can only imagine, what a "knockout blazer gem" of a 1976 Brett in PSA 9 or 10 would command, if one exists out there?
I do not remember what I paid for my Brett item, but I'm quite confident, as long as this card remains a "lo pop", I can sell it anytime and make-out ok!

edit: P.S. I remember the 1976 PSA 8 Brett I owned. It had questionable centering that made it an 8, otherwise the card was really great looking! I have "given-up" some very nice PSA 8's that I upgraded with PSA 9's and PSA 10's, that some posting here would say, "I made a mistake"! In other words, some of those PSA 8's, were "very close or equal" to my upgrades. Such is life!

<< <i>That seller has been moving a ton of '76s lately. >>
It is a break-up of Cincyfan's set...
