From which non US country you collect coins?

All of them.

One of my collections is a one from every Country/Political/Monetary Reform.

Otherwise my sig line mostly covers it, I also collect coins from countries I have travelled to for work.

I'm trying to build a nice looking set of Crown sized coins that have beautiful or different looking designs. I am however, willing to fudge a bit on the size; i really don't want to get any coins smaller than 30mm.

Other than that, I seem to really be leaning to German States coinage, Swiss shooting Thalers and British Crowns/HCs/Florins.

Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia -- but only the time period of the 1920s and 1930s.

Me too!

My specialty is Meiji/Taisho/pre-occupation Showa (1870-1945) Japanese coinage, including those issued for occupied areas of China.

Polish coins are very difficult to find now, and the prices are very high for any nice material. Fortunately I bought most of mine around 2002 - 2004 when prices were much lower.

Yes they are quite expensive now but thera are lot of them on auction and private collectors

German auctions have had a lot of them recently, but in Poland less than before, and in US auctions there have been very few in recent years.

I feel Cuba is _undervalued at the moment.. ie. ABC Pesos... (IF) the US ever eases up on the embargo, expect to see an influx of new collectors..

I have started an 1975 ( wife's birthdate ) collection for yours truly. So I can say that I would collect coins from all countries.

I'm with the other OFECers that have posted here.

All countries are good. The more, the merrier.

Still, countries that I (or my friends/relatives) have visited are over-represented in my collection. The "big seven" for me are Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, New Zealand and the United States - I have over 150 coins from each of these places.

This forum also has a member listing (also linked down at the bottom of the page), which gives a brief outline on what some of the regulars around here collect.

Welcome to the darkside, Endless...
I collect mainly German coins, The Empire, Weimar Republic and Third Reich. I also am collecting the German state of Prussia by date and mint and am accumulating some other German state coins that I come across that are affordable... I also have a start on an Austrian collection, Mexico 8 Reales and (gasp) even the USA in silver dollars.

I washed out of the OFEC collection program. Right now I am focusing more on my Japanese type set as defined by the Dansco album, though I certainly don't mind a good duplicate or variety not in the album. I also have been looking at the coins of Italy and Albania from between the world wars, and someday I'd like to add Ireland to that list. Otherwise I have my bullion collection (how silly of me) and my US 7070 (shhh) plus an interest in coins with griffons on them, of which there are more than I realized.

Thanks Roy! I totally for got about the medals!! I have my 'mommy'/baby/family themed medals, plus I pick up the occasional Art Deco medal with horses or mythologic beasts. I think the other one was that in response to the popular BBL (bare breasted ladies) threads I have my NG/NGWH (naked guys/nekkid guys with horses--think sovereigns).

I'm still digging in my heels and resisting the conders.

This is a bit difficult to answer....... I suppose the best answer is anything and everything that is a Coin related artifact, I do have a strong preference for Great Britian, and Mexico, and Denmark, Germany, France.

Mainly Great Britain along with all of her colonies territories etc... from the 1760's to present, but I do a few other countries as well for good measure.

I have the misfortune of starting a shotgun pattern of collecting. But I'm narrowing it down! Europe with an eye on Eastern Europe from 1945 and working on sets from Panama 1953, 1978 and 2003. Does anyone happen to have any Panamanian coins from 1978 & 2003?
