    I think you're right, but without Krause handy, I am not certain.

    The toughra script on the obverses pins them down as Ottoman for sure. The biggest coin-producing states in the Ottoman Empire were Turkey and Egypt, I am pretty sure.

    The coins look to be 1 or 2 Kurush. I can't see a denomination on the coin.
    It was minted in AH1293 / Year 17, which is 1893, I believe.
    If you can measure the width and weight of the coin we can probably be
    more helpful...

  • I can't help with the denomination because I don't see one either (Which may indicate a 1 Kurush, if it is the base unit it may not need a number. Numbers would be needed for larger denominations.) It is definitely Turkish though, the inscription above the date reads Was Struck in Constantinople.
