French jeton or coin?

According to the owner: 'The coin is about 2 cms in diameter, looks copper rather than anything else, and resembles the 1670 Louis XIV coin for the colonies similar to the 5 or the 15 sol version.'
Anybody seen one of these before?

But the minter appears to be Lazarus Gottlieb Lauffer, son of Cornelius, who became a Guild Master in 1663 and died in 1709.
