I need some help (...with Indian Uncut Strips)

I'm trying to find out what these are, how old, etc, ...and any help is appreciated!

I have an opportunity to buy about 80 uncut strips (about 680 cards!). Does anyone have any ideas what they are and what they may be worth? I've been guaranteed they are all original and have been "salted away" for well over 40 years! (by a high end dealer in collectibles, but he's not a card guy!)

HELP! (How much should I pay for these 80 uncut strips? Any ideas? I do not wwant to lets these "get away"!!!)

TIA

  • I have not seen this set, but Indians in general seem to be very collectible recently.
I have sold several vintage Indian cards and they all seem to do very well.

Here appears to be some of the cards, they didn't define them either...

Here is another auction, showing the back, so they do appear to be the same cards. This person is saying they have a complete set of 24 cards.

I would be like you, and not let them "get away".
    Good Luck.

  • Good morning,
Your Indian cards are from the 1930's, but that doesn't make them super valuable. Evidently from watching E-bay for many years and having bought and sold a couple of sets of those, at some time somebody must have found a stash of thousands of these. And I mean thousands !!! I have seen them sell for as low as $10-$15 for a set up to a hundred or so, but never much over that and there are so many of them around it would be a real crap shoot unless you got them for almost nothing. If you could get them for $10-$20 bucks a set you might be able to make a little but it would be a slow process and probably take you a year or two to unload that many and get any real money out of them.
What does the guy want for them?

Thanks Neil, for the info. I offered $225 for 79 strips (632 cards). My game plan is to "cherry pick" and "hand cut" a few dozen "singles" and send them-off to PSA. Hopefully, I can wind-up with a nice complete 24-card "mint set or two" for myself, and by selling-off the rest, I'll "make a little dough" or at least get my money back, and have a complete set (or two) for my troubles.

Sounds a little dumb? Ok, ok!, I've made some dumb "card moves" in the past. I think my plan will work here. Who knows? I might even double my money? image

Thanks again! (and Bob, who posted before u, thanks also!)
