ALBANESE RARE COINS

Last week I happenned to stumble onto the website of Albanese Rare Coins of Albion, N.Y. They have a fabulous and informative website. they also had a couple of Carver-Washington coins I've been looking for. I inquired about the coins and ended up meeting one of the nicest dealers I've encountered, Dave Albanese. He was helpful and also able to help me find one other Carver I needed to complete my MS66 set. The service was great!!!!!!!!! I'm sure I'll be doing business with him again, although I won't be able to afford one of his gold proofs (the firm's specialty).

I would encourage anyone looking for exquisite quality or simply looking to see some pictures of some fabulous coins to spend a few minutes at his website: ALBANESE RARE COINS.

he had a Morgan up a while back.....I don't remember the date but it was a goody. Listed on their site for $350 and it should have been $3500. I called and told him (not sure who) and didn't even get a thanks.

I have had dealings with them a couple of times.

Seemed like nice enough folks to do more business with again.

I have never done business with Albanese Rare Coins, but there was a recent thread on the NGC boards where someone was less than satisfied with their interaction with this company. Please note that I have no personal observations to add to this and am only forwarding you to read an opinion from someone who has dealt with this firm.
