  • Yellow- A color variation of the Team name.

Chrome-a "chrome" like finish over the front of the card. Makes it shiny and pretty.

    SP-Short Print

Im unsure of the others you mention. LMK and I'll try to explain.

The basic gist of it is that in order to boost sales, Topps decided to make the same card but in multiple different forms. This way collectors would need to buy many, many, many more packs in order to get a "completed" collection of every parallel out there. The Yellow Label ones are variations of the regular base cards but differ only by a little amount. Technically speaking, if you want to have a complete set of the 2007 Topps Heritage cards you MUST get all of the regular cards and these little variations. (Unless each and every card made has a yellow label variation. In that case it would be a parallel set and you wouldn't need to get them to complete your set. If only a small portion of the set has these variations, then in order to get a legitimate complete set you would need all the variations. Topps did the same thing for the 2007 Base Set by making only five cards with VERY hard to find variations of the photo on the card. If you want a completed base set, you'll need to hunt down and find these five incredibly rare variations).

The chrome cards are what would be considered a parallel set. They make each card in a Chrome Variation similar to how Topps had the Gold Card variation to the 1992 Topps Set. Since each and every card has a chrome version, those are considered a parallel set instead of a variation of a few base set cards.

SP is where Topps, on purpose, printed much fewer of these cards than the rest of the set. Again, this is to force people to buy more packs in order to find these short printed cards if they want a full set. This also drives up the price on the aftermarket and causes the overall price of the set to go upward since in order to complete the set, people had to spend a lot more money to get these short-printed cards.
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.
