Grade this 1890-O Morgan before I ship it to PCGS tomorrow (LARGE PICS)

Looking for your opinion on a PCGS grade.

I would narrow it down 58/60. Wear on hair and eagles chest brings it down from any chance at 63 IMHO.

That is not wear. Typical weak strike for 1890-1892 New Orleans Mint.
MS-64.

64 what some see as wear is the typical weak strike on 90-O's.

If the strike were better 65, although it may still get it.

PCGS gave this THANG a 63 and the breast feathers on it are flatter than a new driveway; no doubt a consequence of weak strike and worn dies.

OTOH this is a very very nice 64.

Assuming that there are no problems(cleaned,altered surfaces,etc...which does NOT look to be the case in the pics) I would say 64. Nice job!

Thanks for all of the replies. There is plenty of luster on the coin. I just have trouble capturing luster in some of my images. The coin will be set free from its NGC MS63 coffin before making the cross-country journey.

I'm fully expecting a 64, we'll see how it goes.

I'll add, if it was wear, it would be obvious in the fields and devices as well.

Larry the coin grades MS64. Not a chance at 65 with that strike, sorry.

64/65's still have better feathers even though from New Orleans ( Previous Pictures of a 63 and 64 are evidence of this )
