I can most definetly understand now why everyone thinks so highly of Steve @ BBCE (overnight shippin

Okay, a few days ago I ordered from Steve Hart at www.bbcexchange.com a complete run of Score Rookie/Traded sets along with 1989 Donruss Traded and 1991 Ultra Update (don't laugh). The package arrived the very next day. Unfortunately, the 1992 Score R/T set and 1991 Ultra Update set had smashed corners. Now, if this was any other dealer, they would've said, "Well, you broke the seal. Sorry." But not Steve, no sir! I sent the sets back (after he promised me to refund my return postage costs) and said he would send the replacements with my next order (complete run of 1985-94 Fleer Upate sets, but I had to omit the 1992 for the time being). That was yesterday.

Well, guess what arrived via the FedEx guy today? You got it, my replacement sets (MUCH better) and the Fleer Update sets (BTW, those 1993 and 1994 sets are a LOT smaller than I thought they'd be for 330 and 220 cards respectively).

The moral of this story, I can most definetly understand why everyone here thinks so highly of Mr. Hart. Of course, the fact I live in Owensboro, KY and the store is somewhere in Illinois might have something to do with that also. image

Steve Hart and BBCE are weasels and beware of these scoundrels!

image WinPitcher just had a heart attack.

Steve Hart is of course a good honest guy and I wish all card dealers were like him - it would make for a better hobby for sure, in what already is a great hobby.

I just placed my first order with steve hart 2 days ago. I got very prompt email replies when I asked a question about my order. I was scared about what the actual ups shipping would be, but it came in lower than I thought. About the same price I pay on ebay for a couple of auctions of single cards.

A bought a 1984 Topps Football box for $450 last week from BBCE and it was one of the nicest boxes of 84 product I've ever ripped. I've got 49 cards ready to go to PSA, HOF RCS, other star RCs and commons that I think are PSA 10's...And I am a VERY meticulous grader (10X loupe, digital caliper, etc.).

The centering on 85% of the cards was 56-44 or better. Only about 5% had any print defects (white snow).

I also got a 1983 football box for $65 that was ok, but not great. Only pulled about 10 cards worth grading, but got like 4 Marcus Allen RC's in the box although none are PSA 10 quality. Was hoping for a PSA 10 Kenny Easley, but of the two I pulled one is a likely 7 and one is borderline 9.

I tell ya what, if I had the money, I'd love to get his 1978-93 Topps football sets (he's just missing the 1991) in one fell swoop! image Basically that's my idea of a "starter set". Maybe next Christmas season I can.

Is it possible that Steve from BBCE and Steve from these boards (aka Win Pitcher) are one and the same? Not only do they share the same name, but I will bet that nobody can actually claim to have seen the two of them at the same time can they? Hmmmmm......

  • I sent Steve an email to share my excitement of getting a Grant Hill RC I pulled from a box I bought from him graded a PSA10. A big deal to me, but probably wouldn't mean much to him. Yet he took the time to reply to say congrats! Very impressed with the customer service and speed of deliveries I have received from him, and I am in Australia.

Steve Hart just shreads competitors to pieces, he's got one of the most impressive hobby related businesses I've ever seen.

-Always has a big selection. He always seems to find something interesting and cool (look at all the rare 70's hockey packs he has now). Dave and Adams, BBCKid, Pittsburgh Wholesale...they are fine sellers, but they don't have the product depth he has.

-Reasonable, competitive prices. I've bought basketball boxes from him that might have been a few dollars lower elsewhere. But you always know what you're getting.

-Customer service/satisfaction. It's really unmatched in the hobby. I've only had a handful of problems in the last couple years, and everything was sorted out very quickly and easily.

If every dealer was like him, we'd have a better hobby.
