Question about graded Kelloggs cards

Anyone know how they hold up in slabs as far as cracking goes? Are they real tight in the cases? Im just a little skeptical about their longevity, even slabbed.

been a lot of stories about them (and '68 Topps 3D's) cracking in the case. It seems to be related to cold weather.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

I had 2 crack in the cases in Southern California ('72 All Time Greats Speaker PSA 8 and '75 North PSA 8).

  • I have two 1970 Kellogg's - Killebrew and Oliva - PSA 10.

With cracking a possibility, should one sell immediately?

The vast majority of them do not crack.

But there is a risk, and it is greater than zero. Up to you as to whether or not you want to keep them. I personally wouldn't be putting together runs of Kelloggs sets in PSA 10 holders given this risk -- but were I submitting myself, or if it was players I especially followed, I have less of a problem with taking that risk.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Thanks for your replies. I have always liked Kelloggs cards, a great childhood memory, but dont want to spend an enormous amount if they are only going to crack in the cases.

Im sure where/how you store them would be important. Cool, dry place? Or at least where they wont have extreme differences in temperature?

I should have also posed the question if they are less likely to crack while being encased. Common sense says yes but looking for people's experience.

    Thanks again for everyones input!
