Am I crazy I just bought a psa 1 1951 Bill Quakenbush here is my story

I just bought a 1951 psa 1 Bill Quakenbush, I was browsing on ebay I put in my last name just to see if any thing would pop up nothing at all, I was soo disapointed Ha ha, Then I thought I'll put in my moms given name Quackenbush My grandfathers name is George Quakenbush little to my surprise some cards popped up I saw a 1951 psa 4 in the ebay stores section selling for 60.00, their was a card with 20 minutes left buy it now 9.99 plus 5.00 shipping and handling. I wonder what the odds are that I am related to this hockey player, I don't think their are to many Quackenbushe's around. Pretty much I just bought it because it had the same name, mabye I will do some research and see if I am related just for kicks. Thanks for reading my story, I thought it was interesting, I hope you find it interesting to. Dave

My wife and I have 5 sons. The 1st 3 boys are named James , John & Philip. One day I realized the 61 Yanks had a pitcher named Johnny Philip James. I'm always tempted to bid for a nice card, but... we have 2 other sons and......Enjoy the card!!!

Well, Al Sharpton is apparently related to Strom Thurmond so I guess anything is possible.

    I'm my own grandpa.
  • My wife's family claims lineage to Ben Franklin.

    You could be related!

My dad has told me the same. I've never followed it up too in depth but since we might be cousins, can I borrow $20?

  • Hockey Hall of Fame - Bill Quackenbush

Bill also had a less successful hockey-playing brother, Max. The two played together on the Bruins during the 1950-51 season.

Incidentally, I don't know if you'd consider an an upgrade, but I have PSA 7 copy of the 1951 Parkhurst Quackenbush. Please send me a private message if you're interested.
