Who watched the Schmidt PSA 9 RC that ended last night?

I can't get into eBay at work, but I think it drew high interest for a great looking card (Didn't see the scan of the back, though). I think it went for $116x.xx if I remember correctly.

How does this measure against historical prices for this card in a PSA 9? The difference between a 8 and a 9 in this card is amazing. You expect it for 1950s and 1960s cards, but this is a strong performer in a 9 for a 1970s issue.

Thanks

I keep a spreadsheet of PSA baseball HOF rookie cards at home, and I have the hammer price for every Schmidt 9 from 1/05 on. I'll try to remember to give it a look tonight. Off the top of my head, that's a good price, but not out of line with what they go for. For a while there, there was a Schmidty 9 on eBay at just about all times, which drove the price down to the $800-$950 range. It seems to be rebounding a little though.

I know this is an old thread, but I wonder is shagrotn77 is still on the boards and can comment on recent prices for a 1973 Schmidt PSA 9 rookie. I was curious to know if there is a valye difference between a PSA, SGC, and BVG Schmidt PSA 9.

    Thanks a lot dizzle.

I am surprised that the BVG pulled in more than the PSA or SGC.

I have sales for PSA 9 baseball HOF rookies dating back a few years. VCP misses a few. I like to think I don't. : ) I'll post the Schmidts when I get home tonight.

Thanks shagrotn77. I am surprised that the general trend is downward this year, especially for such a well-established card. I bought a PSA 9 OPC for $800 2 years ago and wanted to add a Topps. Looks like I can get it for less than $900 if I wait.
