My favorite - tho not my best auto - this is an actual GU baseball from Brett's 3000th hit game - it's PSA/DNA and includes a letter from the ump.

    image

Another, was getting Kiki Cuyler on a ball - I couldn't afford a SS ball.

My least favorite - Willie Mays!

    Nice balls, guys.

Here's the only autographed ball I've ever owned. It ain't much, but it's special to me because Jose Cardenal was hands-down my favorite player when I was about 6 and he was with the Cubs. I saw this on eBay last year and made an impulse buy. Still don't have a case for it, though.

    Mike,

Why do you say Mays is your least favorite? The older he's become, the more elobrate it's become. My sister works in the law firm that represents him and gave me a signed ball about 10 years ago as a birthday present. I think she was as excited to give it to me as I was to receive it.

My favorite has to be a Pedro Feliz ball that I received in the mail quite out of the blue. I joined the Giants reward club on a fluke because they were giving out JT Snow bobbleheads (for some reason, my wife's favorite ex-Giant) and apparently, when you join, you are entered into a drawing for prizes. Come 3 or 4 months later, a package arrives at my house with no indication other than I was randomly selected to get an autographed baseball. The packing slip didn't mention who it was at all.

At least I think most favorite is Pedro Feliz!!!!

DOHHHHH!!!!! I was going to offer to send you one but I just remembered I left a case of 11 ball cubes under my desk at the job I just left! I bought a case of 12 and gave one to my old boss as a secret santa and had been meaning to take the rest of the cubes home. Chit that sucks!

    I was just messin around.

It has nothing to do with the actual auto - my son got it at the 92 National in Atlanta - Mays' line was light and all the attention was on Rose and Bench. Mays seemed annoyed by the lack of attention.

Tho things were quiet - he never looked at my son - didn't ask a single question - didn't say thank you or anything.

The guy is about as unfriendly as they come.

edit: here's a nice auto that I like since the Willie is easier to read

Most have seen this - it's a home-made card by Knuckles - don't see him much - he must be busy!

Yeah, that's what I hear about him. She said he no longer comes into the office. They go to him. I suppose if you are in the HOF, you are entitled to those things.

Weird, his signature has changed dramatically over the years. Have to say, I like yours better (signature, that is!)

I am out of town, so there are no pictures available. I have a Ted Williams, Nolan Ryan, Al Kaline, Willie Stargell, Stan Musial, Bob Gibson, (2) Ozzie Smith, Enos Slaughter, Willie McGee, and a 2002 Cardinals team signed ball including Albert Pujols.

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
