OT: Just thought I'd Introduce Myself

Hi everyone, I've been reading the boards for a while (lurking, I guess) and so I thought I would formally intro myself now that I'm a new PSA CC member and new forum member as well.
I'm Canadian (from Toronto), I collect O-Pee-Chee baseball (but only 77-94). Some Leaf Canadian (85-88). And Blue Jay stuff as well.
Any other Canucks and OPC baseball collectors out there?
I have also been spread-sheet tracking OPC baseball ebay prices (77-94 boxes, packs, sets, and graded) for a six months. So if anyone has any questions about values, I might be able to help.
Bye for now!

Welcome! How did you come up with the name?

How long have you been collecting?
I have to commend you on the "focus" of your collecting! Having focus is often discussed - easy to conceptualize - hard to achieve.
Are you collecting those sets graded? Good luck and don't be a stranger.

I have been collecting since I was five or six (not seriously back then, but still buying and putting away). I started (like most, I suspect) to really get into in the mid-80s. Then, when all of the over-produced and over-priced products came down the pike in the early 90s, I kinda got out of it.
I don't have any graded products (thinking about submitting soon).
But I just collect good clean, focused centred, sharp cards.
I like OPC baseball, because finding nicely cut and centered cards from 77-80 is really hard. It's a nice challenge.
Thanks everyone, for your warm welcomes.
Nice to see some fellow Canadians out there as well!

Anyway, I'll ask a question that I think you'll know the answer to, and hopefully others here will become intrigued by those great OPC cards...I know in 1988 OPC had four cards that weren't in the Topps set--the 1st and 2nd round picks by the Jays and Expos--Nate Minchey, Delino Deshields, Alex Sanchez and Derek Bell. Did OPC do that with any other sets?
Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
I'm actually working on a list of variations as we speak. But I can tell you the Blue Jay card is John Scott. #94 OPC.
Wait. Did the 1989 Topps Set have a five-card "1988 World Series" subset?

I'm trying to complete the 1979 OPC set. (Ex or better)
Do you have any extras?
After that's done, I'm going for the 77 or 78 OPC set.
Do you have any 78, 80 or 81 OPC you're willing to trade?

<< <i>79 is a great set. Very very very hard to find well cut and centred, however. My hat's off to you.
Do you have any 78, 80 or 81 OPC you're willing to trade? >>
My set is going to be Ex average at best, so I'm not concerned about centering.
I have some 78 OPC, but I was going to save them for when I start the set. That is, unless you have some 79s I need.
I collect only old Hockey but have been thinking of getting into some Baseball and NFL cards here and there...
Good to have you on board!!!
