I got some great stuff from my secret santa, Matt aka Lawnmowerman. He knows I am a big Phil Simms fan so he sent me these three great cards. One of which will be the first card entered into the Simms registry when it comes out. Thanks Matt ! Thet are great !
My secret santa sent me something really cool- a Babe Ruth game used bat card! I"m not a huge modern card collector, but this one transcended any era- it was just plain cool. Even the old ball and chain liked it. I"ll shoot it and post a scan when I get to the studio in a few days, but it's got Babe's #3 carved out of a piece of one of his bats. Now my big dilemma- I have no idea who sent it! I've got his last name and address, but no CU id, and it's not the person I thought. So whoever Mr. Brown in Mass. is, please me. This card is so cool........

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
LOT OF (4) 1979 PSA 9s, A 1978 ROY WHITE PSA 9 (FOR MY SET! WOWEE!), A LOT OF (8) 1911 T113 NATIONS CARDS, AND WOW! A COMPLETE PACK-FRESH 132 CARD SET, 1978 TOPPS BASKETBALL (I SCANNED SOME HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS GREAT SET!)
My secret Santa sent me a Pete Rose and sent my son an Adam Dunn. Here are the scans:
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
I agree and my son was very happy also! It was thoughtful of my SS to think of my son

Just wanted to wish everybody a great day and to thank my Secret Santa (I think it may have been Blind Flyer, but I am not certain) for my gifts: a PSA 8 Topps rookie Steve Yzerman and a PSA 8 OPC rookie Pat Lafontaine. I will try and get around to posting some scans, though that is not my forte. The gift was very nicely wrapped too.
Hope whoever received my gift likes it.

I just hope my guy really likes his stuff. He like the Saints and I seached all of my stuff and gave him nearly every Saint I had which was not that much. If he is half the Fan I am of the Packers he should enjoy the team sets and jersey cards I found. I only had one graded Saints guy (common from 1972) but I threw in a HOF Rookie of Jerry Kramer PSA 7 to make up for the common Saints Stuff. After opening my gift I just hope I gave enough.
Them are big scans, I thought we weren't suppose to disclose our names, so I didn't add mine to it.
Hey Troy I'm glad you like the cards....I'm sorry I didn't have any packers.
If I known you had a little girl, I could have sent something for her. Maybe a Little mermaid set...lol.
I'm glad you got them, those cards came off my set registry Football autographs, you can re-register them. Since I deleted the account.
Jery
PS I threw in some funky holders to throw you off, I discovered that you can detect a modern trimmed cards using those holders. Before you get any cards graded by PSA.
I got these beauties from a very generous Santa, a gentleman named Gary. Gary, if you read this, I love the Sox and I love the cards, thank you so much!
The Saints package was a definate hit. I appreciate the time and effort spent finding all of those Saints cards - many of which I didn't have. But now you've got me thinking about starting the 1959 Topps set. Thank you very much.
And a special thanks to Jami for all the time coordinating the exchange.

Ya, with the Unitas, I felt compelled means I love that card, it's awesome.
But this Spawn, it'll be there along side the Unitas. I started thinking about design ideas for a display that will actually double as bar... ya I said it??? But I like to be half in bag when I rip so whatever. And I'm trying to find a way to use a card shop display as the theme, maybe add some price tags for effect.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Just wanted to thank my Secret Santa and put up some scans. Seems every time I would remember I did not have the time. I did enjoy it this year and look forward to next year. It was a Panthers Christmas. Each is numbered (scan of the backs).
I also got a nice Dale Jr. phone. How did Santa know the phone in my office was broken? Thanks again Santa.

Those holders were tough to open. My daughter got spoiled this year, like every year. And yes she got a lot of Mermaid.
Thanks again.

How did I not know about this going on ??
I would have loved to have been in on this for sure !!
I think I could make a pretty decent S/S
Congratulations you guys , and Happy New Year to you all .
I will keep my eyes peeled for this next time around .
Lot's of fun reading about this guy, 12 no hitters with the only no hitter ever on opening day.... etc
And what a great card... Auto'd. Peel your eyes on this TNT.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
I did a thread search and grabbed the wrong one, lol.
I think I'll transfer these to the other thread.
