Amazing grades from a great set!

Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
  • Great grades, good job.

I have had a rough time selling these cards, I have tried a few times.
I have two right now, I need to sell. (1954 World on Wheels)
#132 Ford (Cargo King Lumber Truck) PSA NM-MT 8
    #121 Brewster 1915 Town Car PSA EX-MT 6

Anyone know what the real value of these cards is?
They are not yet in the SMR.
  • Compared to your other graded cards the rest must not be the same calibur. So are you ever planning to sell or build a set?
  • I still have about 1800 more to grade. but they are all in the same condition. depends on the day and grader. I have a lot of 9's and abot 8 10's. I am sending out another bunch this weekend. I am in the process of putting together about three sets all graded. That will take some time I guess but it's fun.

1800 in that condition? Where the heck did you get these?

Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
  • A freind of mine that I met in the early 80's gave them to me in a case and they where in bundles of about 30each. He said he Grandfather gave them to him and he worked for Topps. Guess in the early 80's without ebay didn't think they where worth anything. I was looking at my baseball card collection when cleaning the basement found them again and looked on ebay to find out where they where from so i put them all in binders till I can grade them. they take up seven binders. oh I have 2,000 of them but graded some so I think I graded about 150-200 already.
  • David means get 100+ graded at one time to get a price break on how much it costs per card.

    MIke
  • I will check on that. Do you think if the grader has a 100 cards in front of him he may rush in grading them? has anyone found it better to send in a lot at a time or just a few?

Graders are conservative - if you have a large batch of them, you have a better chance of getting legitimate 9s that might otherwise end up high end 8s in a smaller lot.

Sorry for the ignorant questions, but it looks like a cool set-
How many cards in the set, and are they all about equal in scarcity? How much do they go for, average, and are they readily available?
I feel a new set coming on!
