card savers 1 & ll

where is the cheapest place to purchase card saver ll ???

I set up at shows and generally need 5-6 tables, back breaker in itself...soooooooooo i wanted to save space and weight, converting everything over to card savers vs top loads. last show a guy had one case of savers left, bought it, got it home and read card saver 1's
as we all know they don't "FIT." Unless all you handsome young men know the trick to making them fit they will be for sale on ebay or at the next show.
Thanks

  • I buy from columbiasportcards on eBay. Cheap and fast delivery. I've always used CS I's, what can't you get to fit in there?

  • Sam, are you talking about how the CS1's don't fit into standard card boxes? If so, you're right, they don't, but then most collectors here would tell you that card savers are not recommended for long-term storage, at least without penny sleeves inside them.

CS1's are used by everyone here primarily for grading submissions. They are larger than the CS2's and therefore easier to get your card in and out without damaging them. They are recommended by PSA.

yeah i don't like them for long term myself i use toploads (with sleeve) but for shows i thought maybe i could get by with something lighter and cheaper...i like to have cards in something to protect them from the children who are not always careful putting them back in boxes. I've got 6 monster boxes of 1960-1979 i need to get into something before the next show.

I think the CardSaver 1's are the smaller of the two, yes? If so, I was wondering if they fit in the boxes that have 3 rows (not sure what those boxes are called. I believe they are also taller so would help with the fit. If not CardSavers, there are other cheapy brands out there that are a bit smaller that will fit in those boxes. If you want to save money, those would be the way to go but I have no idea where to buy them! image
  • columbiasportscards are the best. Great price and fast shipping.

I agree on Columbia Sports Cards on E-bay. I bought a case a few months ago. and I am still up to my groin in Card Saver II's.

No. The CS II's are the smaller variety. Neither one fit in the 2,400 ct. 3 row boxes. CS II's do fit in the two-row Shoebox (1,600 ct.) and the 5-row Monster box (5,000 ct.). I'm not sure about the 4-row, 3,200 ct box but I don't believe the CS II's will fit in those.

Thanks FS as that info is informative to me also. Though I do have an unknown brand that easily fit the 2400 ct 3 row boxes.
  • yep it is the 1's that are to large for boxes, 2's will fit in monster 5,000 ct, thats what i need. Thanks for all your help. Think the guy will give me a deal if i buy 10 cases????????? imageimage
  • The Card Saver 2's fit in boxes. Just not the Card Saver 1's.
