1933 Goudey PSA's Gehrig and Ruth

Anyone seen these go for around $500 in PSA 1? I have been looking on ebay for awhile now, and seems like even the dog PSA 1's go for at least $700. Do I need to up my price?
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    Every now and then when I get some extra cash I will look into buying these two cards, As they are two of my favorites. But I just cant bring myself to spend $700-$1000 dollars on a psa 1.

    for the ruth, the 144 and 149 versions go for around $650 to $700. The 181 and 53 versions fetch for $800+. Source: vintagecardprices.com

    yeah, seems like the price doesn't go down on these. They would be "neat" cards to have, but it's tough to stomach so much for a PSA 1.

    I actually have no idea, it was something that someone else uploaded. I merely "borrowed" it for mine. lol

    When I found a '33 Ruth 181 in PSA Good (no creases, just evenly rounded corners) it was about $1200. But it really has the eye appeal of a VG. By the same token, I would be reluctant to pay even a "bargain" price for a Ruth or Gehrig that had a major visual distraction, nasty creasing, etc.

    If you keep looking, you'll eventually be able to find one that pleases you aesthetically. Maybe $800-1000 would be a range to look in? Good luck! Don't rush to buy one you aren't truly happy with the appearance of (it's why I haven't "found" my Gehrig yet.)

    Can someone explain the difference between the 1933 Goudey and the 1933 World Wide Gum sets? I really want a Goudey Ruth #144 someday, but I see the World Wide Gum #80 appears to be identical. Are there major differences in price and/or population?

    I believe the differences on the WWG one are all on the back, with "printed in Canada" and English/French text, I believe. Can't speak as to its scarcity/supply vs the "normal" version.
