Anyone ever shipped to an UNCONFIRMED paypal address?

Are you covered if you ship UPS with Signature required? Where does PAYPAL go after the money from if the buyer tries to fraud and say they didn't get it?

You are screwed. You should never send to an unconfirmed in Paypal. If they want to send to that address I ask them to send a money order. Then I put DC on the package. Never had a problem doing it this way.

I would consider the buyer's feedback before deciding to send or not send to unconfirmed address. I have sent to unconfirmed addys many times with no problems. Good luck.

I did once and they filed a stolen credit card claim, even though it was them that bought it .I know, a board member track the scumbag down to his e- something page. He also was ripped off by the same people. Anyways, we were both out our money. Never again.

Almost everybody ships to my uncomfirmed address, my PO box. My CCard statements come to me at my home. So that is a confirmed address that I have. But I prefer that my cards get shipped to my PO box. This way they cant be exposed to the elements in my curb side mailbox or to anyone who would want to look through the mail. BTW, I now get my CC statements only on-line through secure sites. Not in the mail.

If someone does require a confirmed address I will give it to them. But tell them that anyone can search my mail box at home anytime of the day. Or they could send it to my PO instead.

That's why in your shipping fees you add .49 for delivery confirmation. As long as USPS says they confirmed delivery then you are in the clear.

    That is incorrect.

Paypal does not protect the seller if the seller ships to an unconfirmed address...regardless of any type of delivery confirmation.

  • True if you ship to an unconfirmed address you are not protected by paypal.

I have never had a problem, however according to Ebay if you do not ship to a confimred address you have to mention it in your listings. If you don't and you refuse a sale because of it that person can report you as a Non-Selling Seller and get you suspended from Ebay.
