How's this PSA case look to you?

I was looking at some closed Vladimir Guerrero auctions and stumbled upon this one:

Frosty Vlady

is it me, or has this case obviously been tampered with?
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

  • It does look fishy. The seller's feedback is actually pretty good. From what I can tell the three negs he got were retaliatory. I wonder if he purchased this card, saw the slab and decided to flip it off on someone else?

This response by him to one of his negs is a little interesting:

"Thanks for the zero patience, asswipe!! Nice grammar and broken english!!"

If I were bidding on that auction I would definitely have asked for a scan. If no scan then no bid. I'm not a big fan of those angles fuzzy digital pictures.

  • The photo quality is too poor to say for sure (maybe just the glare?), but it definitely warrants suspicion.

It has the tell tale signs of a tampered slab in that the frosting goes along the entire top and extends halfway down each side, which allows the slab to be opened just enough for the card inside to be switched out. Plus the the lower left corner, and possibly the top left too, looks like it might not be 10 material. I know digital photos can sometimes give the appearance of a frosty, tampered slab, but my feeling is that's not the case in this situation.
