    Hi Leo

I don't do the set - I would think that question would get some really good answers on the Registry Forum where the set collectors hang out.

There's a few experts on the set over there.

There are also three other 1961 Topps variations that are not on the list.

#189A Copyright symbol almost adjacent to #263
#189B Copyright symbol adjacent to #264

#273A Copyright symbol adjacent to #336
#273B Copyright symbol adjacent to #339

I have all the variations. Let me know if you would like any scans.

Guess I'll pimp my own checklist page - here's yet another link to the '61 checklist, complete with the teams. I'll have to update it with Spahnfan's variation info now.

Spahnfan - help me out with this one. There is already a listed variation for this checklist. Are there ad/no ad variations for both of these?:

361a Checklist -- 353-429 -- "Topps Baseball" in black on front
361b Checklist -- 353-429 -- "Topps Baseball" in yellow on front

Checklist #361 can be described either way.

361A has no ad on the back andText has "Topps Baseball" in black on the front.

361B has the ad on the back andText has "Topps Baseball" in yellow on the front.

Here is a scan that shows this:

Wonder if those Topps typesetters in 1961 realized all the confusion they'd be creating many years later? image

I don't know how much he posts anymore but Buckwheat is a big 61T collector.

I even bought a couple of nice cards from him.

If you see him logged in over at the Registry Forum - and have a question - I'ld give him a ring.

    He's a really good guy.

OK, thanks. I went ahead and edited my checklist like this:

361a Checklist -- 353-429 -- "Topps Baseball" in black on front, no ad on back
361b Checklist -- 353-429 -- "Topps Baseball" in yellow on front, 6th series ad on back
