Bears view on 20th Anniversary Sets

I believe that the sets will have a rough 6 months after delivery

in the middle of a down coin market. However, for those who will

patiently hold on to the three sets for 1-2 years will find them to be

an excellant long term purchase after the initial dip.

    A lot of people were planning on making very big money on these sets, but I don't think they had a two year time frame in mind. I suspect many were planning on flipping them before the credit card bill came due.

    Well now we all know why they didn't sell out! They had this up their sleeves and knew they would get cancelled orders all the while.

    I always hold on to mine anyway so it does not make a difference, but the addition of the Uncs, is ridiculous!

    Would someone please summarize what the total mintage of the various W-mint coins will be...or is the available information lacking or undecipherable such that such information cannot be provided?

    well good thing they can cancel before delivery. I wonder if the mint did this on purpose?
    Bet they are watching how many are canceling their 10 set limit orders.

    I am thinking of canceling my 2 coin set order because it is cheaper to buy the singles. But the three coin sets are still the only way to get the reverse proof.

    Even if they go up to 500K on the Unc W Silver Eagle it still will be way less mintage than the 96. But the Unc gold is going to be another story.

    I think the only thing that can be said with reasonable certainty image at this point is that the reverse proof Silver is limited to 250,000 and that the reverse proof Gold is limited to 10,000. Aug 21st U.S. Mint Press release

    I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

    It will be interesting to see how many actually sell. With the 3 piece sets, the S.F. commemorative and the buffalo gold coins there might not be a lot of free cash for these.
