Help wanted. Any idea what this coin is?

Looks european. The guy has a smirk on his face. Sorry, but I am pretty lame at IDing these things. Does anybody have an old (say 2002) Krause for 19'th and 18'th century coins they want to sell me cheap?
OK, here is the coin that I need to ID for a friend:

KM#512.11 Mint: Bourdeaux (Intdicated by the XX Double intertwined chevron below the obverse bust)
Mintage: 37,000
Value: VG= $35
The mintmark: the main mintmark for Bordeaux is "K", directly beneath the wreath on the coat of arms side. The two mint workers in charge there at the time put their "privy marks" on the coins, too: the fleur-de-lys to the left of the date and the "bent "A" like" shape beneath the king's portrait.
The denomination: the 1 ecu is the only one I can see listed in Krause with that design, date and mintmark, but other denominations with much the same design were also issued, and Krause's sorting of mints in the 1700s volume is atrocious. Just to confirm your coin is "dollar-sized", not "half-dollar sized" (1/2 ecu) or "quarter-sized" (one of the fractional coins)?
Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, "Meditations"
Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
I don't actually have the coin in hand. I posted this query for a friend. I have sent email and will post again if I figure out what size the coin is.
