PSA Uses Screw Down Holders for a 52 Mantle?

    It almost looks like they peeled the labels off and put on a holder.
    This is from PSA using that cert number
    Year: 1952
    Brand: TOPPS
    Player: MICKEY MANTLE
    Variety: N/A
    Grade: Not Holdered, Questionable Authentication

    So you are bidding on a mantle picture that may or may not be a real card. I imagine this card will be pulled and sold to a "local" bidder.

    Why is it that PSA puts "Questionable Authenticity"???? If you look at the website, they say that that really means "Counterfit". Why don't they put Counterfit? I've seen more people bidding on these cards as being questionable authenticity thinking that maybe it's real, when in fact, that label means counterfit......why be so ambiguous?

    Exactly. BGS uses the same term.

    The current high bidder is sopranoss.
    Maybe I'm just a wimp but I'd hate to rip off someone with mob connections.
