I'm surprised that there are 4 MS69's. Guess PCGS doesn't bother to differentiate PL's from MS's for $2 coins.

MS coins from rolls are much scarce than MS in mint sets. Not long time ago, ICCS started to use the term of NUMISMATIC BU for MS coins from sets.

I'd think ANY high MS coin would be from a PL set. As cladking repeatedly points out, a high grade business strike of a common coin would be much harder to find than one from a mediocre mint set.

How about if I sell you 50 1997 PL sets? You can make your own MS69 piece and use the other coins as tiddlywinks.

I wasn't certain. I needed to double check first but PCGS does recognize the PL coins from the MS coins.

I thought that I had a couple of coins from those PL set's still hanging around here somewhere.
