  Crazy, especially with the crappy scan. That is a tough card to find centered though. I could see about $400 for that card (I paid $300 for mine and it's nicer), but $1,275 is just loony.

  this is another new bidder buying everything he can, bought a psa 9 68 maris from me today and paid immeditely. the more of these guys in the hobby , the better imo

  yes, i have no problem with people getting top dollar for graded cards. all the boats rise and fall with the tide.

  This IS a tough card centered; new bidder could be thinking of getting a bump but I don't see it - crappy scan still shows upper left corner to be worn, IMO.
  
  Crazy money could have an adverse effect on the hobby; when moneybags finds he's taken a bath it doesn't look good for us.

  when a new bidders enter and bid without any reasoning , the money is not usually the issue. it is good for new bidders like this and they usually wise up after month or so and learn to snipe , etc. any new collect is good for the hobby.

  I saw this auction a few days ago. 1962 is one of the sets I'm considering starting, but this kind of scared me off it. Good to know it is completely out of line for that card.

  Lookls like you have 2 new guys to that set. Loaf is in the mix as well.

  What will these guys pay for the Frank Robinson? Or the Albie Pearson? Or the Foytack? or any of the 10 toughies?...I think the price tag on a PSA 8 set seems like it is moving from the $30k's to the $50k's.

  Mike, I think you are absolutely right. Who knows what an 8 FRobby would go for right now. It could be a crazy number.
