    The Morgan is enlosed in a holder I'm not familar with, white background. Wish I had a tape measure handy but appears to be around a 1/3 inch thick. Decent luster with distracting scratches, facial. Slight Gold toning on rim? Strike appears good. Looks to me like it may have been dipped/cleaned??? I'll get a better pic. or die trying. lol. Don't know why but I like the coin; reckon that's what counts. jws

    image With that scan I was amazed you all could tell it was a coin, hey you even knew it was a Morgan. Thanks all for the kind words and the incentive to keep on trucking. They say practice makes perfect; got a bunch of that to do. lol. jws

    It's not in a TPG holder.....looks like a normal lucite screw down. The coin is blast white so it probably has seen a dip some time over the past 100 years but so have most Morgans on the planet so if the luster is still good as you mention it the dip will most likely not affect the value. 1882-S is a common date and from what I can see from the scan it could be a MS64 as labeled on the holder but you mention some scuffiness on the cheek which could knock the grade down a point on two.
