not holdered, no holder available on a crossover submission

I got a not holdered, no holder available on a crossover submission. I said the card could be a min grade of "1", so does that mean that PSA thinks the card is not legit? (trimmed, etc)

  • Could be trimmed, recolored or possibly miscut.

it could also be a card that is too thick that PSA does not grade

Oh yeah, the card was a 1935 National Chicle, so it wasn't resizing. The card was graded 1.5 by GAI.

  • that's bizarre, that should've crossed. Call customer service about it
  • trimmed or altered.

    sorry man.

if they thought it was trimmed or altered they would've said that. if it wasn't the min. grade you requested it would've gotten m/g
Since they do holder these cards I think a call to customer service is warranted. Andre has been great in my dealings, as has Shane. Give one of them a call.

    << <i>not holdered, no holder available >>

I think it's clear what happened here - it was not put in a holder (the "not holdered" part) because the grader ran out of holders (that's the "no holder available" part).image

....just kidding (I hope) - griffins is correct; if it was altered trimmed whatever, it would have been so stated. Sounds like someone just goofed. When you call, be nice - remember, graders are humans too.

ok, I called PSA customer service. They said that the card must be one it is one of three things. 1. they don't grade it. 2. they don't have a holder for it, or 3. there are too many issues with the card in the community to have it graded.

I will update once I actually get the card. My order was shipped today.

What the heck was wrong with it?

It was a 1935 National Chicle Football, right?

    1) PSA grades those. You know that, I know that.
    2) It IS possible they've run out of the proper size holders. Never stopped them from putting it in a bigger size with the lovely card condom before.
    3) Was there anything wrong or out of the ordinary with it? If it was a 1.5, maybe it has a flaw that they won't grade, like a missing piece or I'm not really sure what. Rat chewed on it?

Your neighborhood doesn't like football cards?

Seriously, sounds like the CS person had no clue and was just guessing. Frustrating.

Sounds like it was read off a piece of paper.

This an area that Beckett is way better than PSA. At least Beckett will put a yellow post it note on your returns and explain why it was not graded, where it was trimmed, etc. I have encloded a blank post it on one return that i resubmitted and still got no explanation. Not good! image
