Two Friday NEWPS... one of them another counterstamp!

USPS brought me more goodies today. One I'm sort of "eh" about, the other I really dig.
Seychelles 25 Cents, 1951. NGC MS66. This one is a little underwhelming qualitywise. Now scarcity-wise, it's a very low mintage piece, only 36,000 minted. I'm toying with the idea of sending it back, but I don't know how frequently these show up. Krause UNC is $30 and I'm into it for about $70. The things I don't like about it: obverse dig next to the eye and several spots, same on the reverse with a very noticable spot above the 5. The parallel lines in the fields don't appear to me to be a result of cleaning... die polish lines?
Thoughts on this one?

Costa Rica 1923 50 Centimos counterstamped on 1893 25 Centimos. NGC MS65. I really like this one! No clue on the mintage. Krause only lists them in grades VG through XF, so it's hard to extrapolate what an MS65 is worth. I've inferred that when Krause only lists up to XF, that the particular is much scarcer in higher grades. All of the others on Ebay seem be in circulated grades; no mint state pieces.
This is a very bright and flashy white piece, with just a single streak of oddball positional toning. It's cool that you can see the remnants of the old denomination under the new one.

that 25 cents would fit right in with my birth year collection.
