Opinions on this slab please

I was thinking of putting a snipe on this item and realized that it's still sitting at 9.99 with 1 bid after almost 6 days. Does the slab look kosher to you guys? At first I thought it looked crappy cos it's on the carpet background, but that middle top and upper right look frosty. In fact, I'm not sure about that whole right side. The same seller had one for sale about 2 weeks ago that I missed and this one looks way better with the exact same description but different background setting. Any thoughts?

Just bid $9.99. If it arrives and looks tampered with, you'll probably be able to get your money back as well as getting PSA involved. If it's fine, then you got a bargain.

I see what you mean. I would probably wait for one with a better scan. Maybe email the seller and ask for a 300 dpi scan sent to your email. I do that when I am not to sure. If he is a good seller, he should oblige.

I think it's just an effect of the seller's digital photography. Then again, I'm not sure if I'd trust a guy whose eBay ID is an apparent homage to Alec Baldwin's character in Glengarry Glen Ross.

  • What jrinck said. For 10 bucks, I'd take a chance on it.

Despite the low-quality picture, I'd say it looks like a 10. The blue corners don't show any white, and the centering is great. If someone swapped the card with a lesser specimen, this wouldn't be the best card to do it with. Lower grade examples are too unforgiving.

LOL! I just got a response from the seller after asking for a better or closer pic of the card. Here's his response. Oh well, I guess I won't be sniping. Do you think he's upset?

    >your question makes absolutely no sense to me. the holder is >brand new and the card in it is a psa 10 regardless of how my >camera depicts it. im not a professional photog. i dont take my >pictures on carpet, its a piece of marble tile. it was recently graded, >and i dont see any way of improving the card. i dont use a scanner >and the pic i have up right now is about the best i can do. i actually >thought it was a large enough and crisp enough picture. you are >one of the first in a long time to question my pics. if you are that >particular, given its already graded a psa 10 and thats not enough >for you to make a confident bid on the card, then i am sorry, maybe >read my feedback.?

The only problem I see with the pic, is the reflections. Probably a slight mirror image of the guy himself taking the picture.

It's nearly impossible to get a square on shot without this problem, especially with a clean clear slab. Just my opinion image.
