I predict going forward PCGS will not have coins enter their database and then fall out again during Final V. I COULD BE WRONG BUT THAT IS MY UNDERSTANDING AT THE MOMENTof what is happening and it is being attended to. You can see it happen on many series and it is not cool. I repeat is not cool! How can you price a moving target population from a sellerrs standpoint (among other problems)?
That is what is happening or at least has been happening. They scan them and then they get chopped out in a later verification phase i believe. Sloppy and very typical in my opinion. They will not admit it but I have been in touch with them recently and I think they are finally on to it after years of this BS. I would be surprised if they let it happen again but it may take a rewrite of the database load and processes. Right now, i think the whole system is down that loads and i would be surprised if we get any changes for Monday but I have been wrong before.
Nice catch! Question I have is how did PCGS miss this and Heritage as well? I wonder if the owner knows what these truly are and got them to auction very quickly.
WOW! $625 for a Type 2 MS66....... For what possible reason?....Toning? Not that great. Upgrade crack-out candidate?.....'Doubt it Sell to some one who doesn't know better.....It might be pretty hard to do. Cheap way to get a Type 1 66 in a Registry Set......probably?

Just Kidding! Here's a picture of the ms66.. (Oh, if the new owner of the ms67 73-p also has the new ms66 76-p TI's I'd be interested in them!)
One can only imagine what an MS-67 in the early dates would look like.
I'm inclined to lean towards a mechanical error.
If not,....a BIG CONGRATS to whoever hit that home run!

Thank God. Saved me about $15-20,000.
Jamie tried to make you some 76-P Type I's, but they all came back 65. I think they'll go back in.

I can't believe this. From first glance I knew that coin was too nice to be a T1.
A little more research shows that about 5 coins right behind that one are Type I's, one of which is graded MS66. My guess is they all are Type II's.

The 76-P type one is the most difficult date to get PCGS MS66 grade and it is the last date to get the PCGS MS66 grade.
