I just purchased this detector...I hope I did right!

    It's a good starter detector. I don't think you can go wrong with it for the money. Just don't expect th performance of a $1,000.00 machine though.

    I bought one for my nine-year-old son for Christmas. We haven’t been out of our yard, yet. I showed him how to use it ONCE. He then went out into the back yard that I already searched with my White’s MXT. He found two pennies and two dimes in a couple of hours.

    Well it came with two coils and the frequency as she was selling it to me was compatable with more expensive detectors...so I bit the bullet....now I need to find one gold coin to pay for it!

    Anyone hunt in Alabama...how do these detectors hunt in red clay...also on the beach how do they descriminate in shallow water?
