Hartford coin show NEWPS

Found some nice greyside coppers. Cleaned out one dealer for all 19 of his 1859 large cents. Two interesting pieces shown below:

Late die state cents are often called a "wide 9". This is the widest I've seen. I'm calling it the "fat 9".

This piece has a die crack running from the leaves at 5 o'clock thru the ring of dots, counter clock wise thru 5 dots, thru the 9, up thru the N of CENTS, up thru the O of ONE and ending just short of the dots at 10 o'clock.

This is an 1895 with the 9 shifted to the north.

Finally a 1928 small cent that should go 63RB. Lots of lustre that my scanner can't capture.

<< <i>Any repunches on the 1859s? >>
No repunches on the dates. Two have recut top of 5. Four have obverse letter recutting / repunching. All have some kind of die cracking on obv / rev or both - IMHO not really varieties just indications of die state.
Some day I'll acquire software that I can use to map / overlay photos - but that also means I'll have to learn to work with my digital camera too!
