Check out the groovy European Union type set album I just found...

Remember Pam, aka "asnooker", who fell on hard times a while back, and had a husband who needed surgery?
She was selling off a lot of her stuff and I bought this album from her. I gave her fifty bucks for it, to be charitable.
I think she said she paid $25-30 for it, though I don't know where she got it from.
It sat out in my shed/workshop for the past year or more, forgotten. Dimitri asked me tonight if I had any South American Dansco albums (is there such a beastie?) and I told him no, I had no more albums for foreign coins, but then I remembered this EU album. Once I dug it out from the clutter in the shed and looked at it, I got a little excited- it looks like a fun set! Had Dimitri not decided he wanted it, I would've kept it and worked on it myself.
It is a bilingual/multilingual album put out by the Dutch mint (De Nederlandse Munt), and has an introduction in both English and Dutch. Each country is listed by name in its own tongue (for example, "Eire" for Ireland).
The countries included are:
Belgium
Denmark
Germany
Finland
France
Greece
Great Britain
Ireland
Italy
Luxembourg
Netherlands
Austria
Portugal
Spain
Sweden
Each country has a little card, with holes in it for one of each of that country's final pre-Euro coins.
Cool, huh?

When Rob sold me the Swiss type set Dansco album about a year ago, he practically renewed my interest in numismatics, much more than he could have ever imagined and certainly more than any other method that I had tried until then. A slabbed Swiss set followed and I'm now very proud of this new collection that I wouldn't have started if it wasn't for that album that our lord was also tempted to keep.
Although this latter can't be considered as a new direction for me,I'm still an ALOFEC collector (at least one for every continent!) with 2-3 countries in which I go deep, and it will very soon be filled, it carries a special double pedigree, so I'll undoubtedly treasure it. Thanks.

<< <i>I've seen that album before, almost looks like a "Lighthouse" product from the NUMIS manufacturer in Germany >>
The brand name is Importa, and it's Dutch, though for all I know, it could be from the same manufacturer, with a different label.
Apparently there are quite a few,as posted by dougwtx in our weekly swap. I was tempted to get that Japanese type set album, but I'm sure Cathy needs it more than I do.
