trying to help George with a George

Hi All, I am making a quick trip over to the dark side for help with a question. A firend of mine i am working with pulled the trigger on a darkside coin here recently and he was asking me about it. Comes to find out Myfirend George likes the darkside coins ,espically ancient, but he has limited knowledge of them. i told him i would try and help get some information on his coin from the fourm. I know what was paid and am not sure if he took it on the chin or not so i turn once again to the board members for help.

Here is a pic of it and hope it is enough information.

Thnaks in advance for the help.

A decent example but not quite enough info... how big and thick is the coin? It is mostlikley the 1d but could be the 2d and the pictured example looks to be in the low end EF grade

NICE coin. No rim bumps which are usually found on these. I would say EF. About a $150 coin if it is a 1d.

Nice one, I would also grade it EF.

That is a FAR better-than-average looking Cartwheel penny (twopence?), in my opinion. It looks like it has very nice surfaces. Better yet, it seems to have none of the typical rim bruises one sees on those.

To know if it is a penny or a twopence, we'll need to know how big around it is. The picture has no references for scale.

S-3777 makes it a one penny (1d). $247 seems a little high to me, but eventually the coin will be worth that much. Of course, it could be nicer than the image.

Check Heritage, but I would guess $150 to $200 in XF
