I've been dealing in PSA cards for a long time and it's never happened to me. I've never even heard of it happening. One guy on here a while back posted a picture of when he dropped a few hundred PSA cards all over the floor on accident. If none of his cards got damaged then I would assume it's almost impossible to damage them. I'm not totally sure, there could be a horror story out there though, or at least one made up by some anti PSA guys.
Here's a fun experiment- Bruce Moreland took a PSA card to Home Depot and attached it to a paint shaker to see what happened to it BruceMo's Shaking Slab Test
Ok....I have a semi-horrible story...I say semi because it wasnt a high $$ card. Over the holiday I busted a few 85 Donruss factory sets, and I pulled a perfect Ryan. I brought it in to my father in law so we could compare it to the PSA 10 I already own.....well, the old guy dropped the PSA 10, and when i picked it up off the marble kitchen floor the left edge had a split in it almost an inch long. Guess the raw card that I had just pulled won the comparison !!
