    I think the difference in the prices the different labels will bring answers that one loud and clear.

    [Edit to add: Though I personally would feel morally obligated to disclose my knowledge of the previous 'cleaned' designations.]

    You're right. I've never heard of a coin bodybagged by the big boys get slabbed on resubmission.

    I'm sure this has happened with PCGS and NGC, too. I think Seated Dollars get cut more slack than most series because almost all of them have been messed with, to the point where lightly cleaned is almost "market acceptable."

    They look cleaned and they sure don't look like AUs to me. Especially the one supposed to be AU-55.

    The 1847 surprises me a little- it looks like it had a pretty significant cleaning that really messes with the eye appeal. How do these dollars look in hand?

    They're both really nice in hand...... thats why I resubmitted them !!!!!!!

    If you want to put ANACS on a par with PCGS and NGC, you gotta play by the rules and pay the tax !!!!!!!!
