Great pickup for the Cubs and I would rather have him than Furcal, although Pierre plays a deeper position.
However, everyone makes this guy out to be Speedy Gonzalez when in fact he gets thrown out a lot when stealing bases. He has a 73.6% stealing percentage, which isn't that great for a leadoff guy and a guy as fast as him.
Overall, a nice pickup for the Cubs for leadoff. Also means that Patterson may be out.....unless of course, he goes to RF.
Now, if the Cubs could address:
SS RF 2B could use an upgrade as well.

No way they will put him in right. I think they will get Milton Bradley for RF. Dunno about 2nd or SS, but I would bet that they use someone they have for one of the 2
