I know the imaging isn't the greatest, but I'm trying to get a handle on this merging issue.

A little baggy, but nice luster and original color. Just curious. Is one able to find early 20th century Canadian with clean surfaces? (i.e. MS65+)?

    MS65s ?? Maybe. MS65+ (as in a true MS66), not likely.

    Here is a breakdown of Can. 5c pieces from 1922 - 1930 (including '26 Far/Near).

    53 20
    55 79
    58 185
    60 7
    61 15
    62 88
    63 128
    64 156
    65 65
    66 5

I think it is quite instructive to see that the most populated grade is AU58. I'm sure a goodly number of those were thought to be 63/64 coins, as it is unusual to see a pop. skew such as this in more easily graded series.

    And, only two years, 1922 & 1928 list more than 10 coins graded in MS65; 1922 - 20, 1928 - 11.

I'm sure that due to the following of Canadian coins that many of these are re-submissions.

    65 65
    66 5

    I count 6, from 1922-1930.
    1922 1
    1923 1
    1926 Near 6 1
    1928 2
    1930 1

And, for the rest of the George V nickel years:
    1931 1x66, 1x67
    1934 2
    1936 4

The MS66's don't show up that often. The MS65's can be found, but are usually quite pricey.

I never knew that there is a MS67. Wondering how much it will be for the 67.

Looks like I missed that one too - final count is 16xMS66 and 2xMS67 George V nickels.

Some real nice coins you got there. I know nothing about Canadian coins, well next to nothing, but they sure do look nice. Good acquisition.
