Rough Topps Vending Cuts . . .

Is one penalized greatly due to those rough cuts on cards from Topps vending boxes? I pulled some very well-centered cards but they seem to have the rough cut on one or two edges.

I did submit some '72 OPC baseball that looked cut with a dull blade. Two graded 10, one (Clemente) graded 9.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    IMO PSA has always ignored rough cut edges. I think PSA sees these edges as a product of the cutting process in manufacturing.

    COPPER is gutter !

    I agree with Dan

    The rough cut will be ignored by PSA - it's the corners that count when viewing the edges of the card.

    Some people hate rough cuts and won't go near them.

    I'm neutral - depends on the card overall.

    kind of seems odd....centering's a result of the cutting process that gets penalized, why not rough cuts?

    I was thinking the same thing. Fisheyes, miscuts, print dots are also a result of printing process.

    I busted three boxes of 1976 Topps Football Vending a couple of months ago. BEAUTIFUL cards. Unfortunately, they had the same "chipping" on the edges. Of the 30-40 cards I submitted with "chipping" on the edges, I did not receive one PSA 10. I did get some PSA 9's. By the way.... First box, No Payton.... Second Box, No Payton.... Third Box, Three Paytons.... All PSA 9.....OC.... Argh.
    Oh well, 1976 was my first set, so it was more sentimental than for a profit.
