Might be some kind of database anomaly, but I know some (if not all) of the online certified coin trading networks generally use MS1-MS70 and PF1-PF70 as a way of differentiating business strikes from proof coins in their database. This may just be PCGS catching up with that style of notation.

  • With hammered I can understand such things, but milled stuff?

I have the world's worst known uncirculated Australian 1939 6d, theoretically it could go MS50 I spose.

Sounds like the new help needs help.

IMHO, you should not have to have HRH step in. The job should be done right the 1st time! I have a bunch of Canadian that were SP coins come back MS, had to ship them back (at my expense) and wait another 5 weeks for them to get fixed. I can see one coin every once in a while getting screwed up. But these stupid errors have been coming out of PCGS a lot more frequently this year!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
