I have several duplicate 72s mostly 8s but one 9 #41 Tommy Davis....8s are #325, 446 (Seaver IA), 442 (Munson IA), 392, 703, 712, 574, 588, 548, 711, 753, 637, 772, 774, 609, 698, 753 (guess I got 2 of those), 604, and 710.

First hard core 72er to respond in good conscience that they want these cards for their set and not for resale I will ship to for free, just because well, that's the kind of guy I am. All I ask is that you agree in good faith to add these to your collection, not to sell them for profit, which I would take as a personal slap in the face since I am offering them up for nothing.

EO,

There is a guy named Brian Mohr (beach64)....he has got a set which is about 33% complete and an active builder........I think he is worthy of the cards.........................Most of the other active builders are too far along to need these cards.

EO, very nice gesture, do non-72ers count? I could use 703 and 772 for my red sox team set if PSA ever gets it up there and the cards wouldn't have to travel too far, about 1 stop on the red line.

Arnee..you have taken the initiative to start the big 72 thread...here is what I am going to do...I just dont have the time to send out several different cards to different people...so remember that movie w Kevin Spacey, that whole Pay It Forward, thing...I am going to send you all of the cards I listed...you keep the 3 you need, send pack collector the 2 he wants, and then dole out the rest as you see fit.

First off, another example of someone being very generous by offering free cards to help a fellow collector! Thanks "IJustLoveCards" for the offer, but I'm only collecting the set in 8's and don't want any lower than that...but again, thanks!

Secondly....the box from EOMint arrived today (as well as the 2nd part of your 'package' Jami

) and I'll be sending off Jami's cards (he provided a SASE) and Bill's card in the next day or two. Now, I'm still missing the address for "packcollector" to send his cards and no other takers on the 'free' cards!?

Remember, these are ONLY to help build sets (team or regular) and not to be taken to make a profit. Let all '72ers know about it. Jami, you mentioned someone in the 30% completion range...can you send him an e-mail and see if he wants the cards?
