New wax box break coming next week! Woo-Hoo!

Just finished paying for auctions on the Bay. Got a box of '77 Topps (sentimental fave) and one '85 Fleer and '85 Donruss as well as a few other little goodies. Oh, these are baseball of course. Pics will be posted as soon as something worthwhile pops up, I love reading about everyones box breaks and know that there is an appreciative audience here. At home I'd get a disinterested shrug and a "whatever makes you happy dear" from the wife and "where are the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards?" from my oldest son. My scanner is on the fritz and I will use my camera and upload as fast as I can. Wish me luck. Oh, and a 1980 Topss cello box is coming too. Christmas in October.
Just glad to be here with everyone.

I'm a fan of the '77 set and am interested in what you pull. Always had the problem of not having that big rookie (although D.Murphy & T.Armas cards were popular way back when) card to carry the set.

Those '85s...love 'em! Good luck in getting multiple Clemens rookies! Oh, and a few Pucketts in there as well. image

  • Thanks Julen and I hope they are unsearched and intact as well. I checked his feedback before bidding and he has many very happy customers with 500+ feedback themselves - an indication of some customer satisfaction in my eyes. I won't hesistate to take some action if I smell a rat tho.

  • Never had a pic to show before so I will give this a whirl. Here is the first decent card from the boxes I busted this weekend. Rickey thinks this Rickey rookie will get Rickey at least a solid 8. Rickey could be wrong, but Rickey don't think so.

  • Damn, that looks crappy, now I gotta do some resizing somehow. Arrgh, any ideas? My scanner is gone the way of the dodo but I have a real nice camera for the pics, did I just use too small of a resoultion or something like that? Thanks,

  • Gee thanks, but holy crap I don't want to have them show up so big on the screen. I found an image host and have bunch on there - do I paste the URL, Tag or IMG? That's all I want to know, just to get the pics on here at a decent size. Thanks again mudflap, much appreciated.

  • Guess I couldn't put 2 pics in the same message, I tried posting my Joe Morgan next to Stargell to no avail.

  • Here's the heartbreaker of the entire bunch, nice corners but that bottom is awful. Still it's nice to have one again after so many years.

  • I am curious as to what a Topps 77 box goes for on the Bay? I know BBCE sells them for $775. I love that set. Let me know if you get any nice all-stars from that set, the Kingman's, Jones's, and Harrah's are pretty rare to find in nice condition.

Just for the record that Rickey Henderson is not his rookie
  • Rich/Daddy,

Did you come across any 77 Munson's. I'd be very interested, if you want to sell them.

    PM me -thanks,
