The smallest subject that's ever appeared on a Topps card
Saw this in the current Lelands auction.
Is it the smallest image ever on a Topps card? Looks like Brooks is out in the middle of the Sahara desert.

Did he ever get any jail time?
I love those colors and black background... it is art.

Maybe, as it turned out, for good reason. While I don't collect '71s or Robinson, this card has always stuck out in my mind.
What does a '9' bring anyway?
BTW, this card always makes me do a double-take. I realize he's holding his glove up to show the ball but on first glance it looks like he's wearing a catcher's mask.
A better frame of a diving catch would've been a great horizontal card, like Thurman's in that set.
Always looking for N690 Kalamazoo Bats and Newsboy Cabinets
Could they have zoomed in any closer on his mellon?
