My first Submission-Graded and Shipped in 48 hours

.......and it was FREE.

I had accumulated 16 free submissions for 75% set registry completion of my 1972 Topps set, which included filling in all the various 72 team sets.
The Freebies were sent in all on one invoice.

PSA recieved, graded, and shipped in less then 48 hours.........VERY Impressive!!

Kudos to PSA........( they even gave me a 10 on one of the cards)

I thought you received only one free submission when you reached 75% of a set on the registry???

Grades were a very mixed bag...I thought I would do a little better but there was definite wishful thinking on my part on some of the cards.

ld, Have you researched the value of the PSA10 Javiar? I just see $60 for a 9 in the online SMR.

I graduated h.s. in '72 and my head wasn't into cards at the time. Was this set tough as far as edges chipping goes??

    Just curious...

    Jami,

I think they made a mistake. Wasn't it the bench card that was supposed to get the 10? image

If it were me, I would sell the Javier. It is a low pop card and a 1/1 in PSA 10. Use the money to buy the rest of the hard to get cards you need to finish the set.

Those were the last of my HS years also and it got me thinking. All my cards from the 50's and 60's spent at least some time in one of my pockets, be it my back pants pocket or shirt pocket. When I was opening cards like the 72's, there really werent any other kids to trade with, so they just went from pack to stack. Maybe a few of the bricks I had were wrapped a bit tight, but even way back then I started to notice the indentations that were being left on the first few and last few cards. My complete sets all went in those old green "lockers" they came out with.....

Not to worry...... the Javier will get sold ASAP before it is no longer 1/1. There are a few of the heavy hitters who will bid it up to a nice price. ($250?)

Edge chipping on 72s???...........I would say it is not a big problem.
