I like to pick up coin sets with a history to them

Especially local numismatic history. A couple weeks ago I purchased a 1963 proof set from Cyprus. It came with the original packaging. The set was originally sent to Harold Rice. Rice was a local coin dealer and although he has since died, his son still runs the shop at the same location. I bought it from someone who had purchased an old time collection in the Rochester, NY area.

That's great! I like the wine stamps. That is wine, yes?

Perhaps the knight is drinking the blood of his enemies.

Why would a knight go to the trouble of putting the blood of his enemies in a wine glass?

    Cool set!

I have some sets from the Bahamas and Australia in the original shipping cartons. I wish I had some 1960's and earlier RCm stuff, though. image
