and for anyone else reading this thread--I am interested in obtaining a 1948 Bowman #46-Horace McKinney (prefer graded--but willing to take a raw card)
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Collecting this set is In my opinion is one of the rarest and greatest of the 40's sets. Like you I collect 7 & 8's and it is challenging and expensive to upgrade but very rewarding when completed. The number one set in this category Heifetz is not only the undisputed leader but you can make an argument that it is one of the greatest sets ever assembled in the PSA Registry. Anyway my experience with this set has been very positive and the collectors that are out there always willing to help out if they can.Take care and Good Luck with your set.By the way Triple SSS and Wayne Varners Shoebox Cards have some graded 1948 Bowman's that may interest you and they both have nice people to work with.
