Stamps, like coin, being so condition sensitive, there's a pretty wide range. The first post set (the 1922-25 flat plate definitives) only runs $20-$30 or so in used. In lesser Mint grades (only F/VF contering, hinged, etc) The set will probably run in the $300-$500 range, give or take. The high face values will determine the cost, as they'll be most seriously discounted for less than perfect centering or flaws. MNH in true VF to XF, the set will run every bit of $1000-$1500.

Yep, VF/XF MNH, the set shown is from a photo on Armstrong Philatelics site. Very highly recommended dealer for better grade, classic US.
