    Hi Lee
That was one of my favorite shows for the first 2 - 3 seasons! They eventually "jumped the shark" when the Fonz jumped the shark.LOL

It's interesting that this is the show that was the creation of a sitcom phrase for when a show reaches diminishing returns and no longer is viable - the precipitating event...that "point in time" in the series will be forever connected to this show.

The Fonz auto is cool - wish they had signed in black so it shows better.

Thanx for sharing - did you pick it up on ebay?

  • hey mike,

yeah, it was the first time i`ve seen this card on ebay. some sellers/dealers had it in their ebay store and had fixed prices on it ($150)

i picked it up for less than that.

for me, when ritchie left the show, it was done.

    Remember the first season?
The Fonz didn't wear a leather jacket!

Richie leaving? I thought when Mork aka Williams made a visit e.g., the show was running out of gas.
That's the way I felt when Barnie aka Don Knotts left the Andy Show.

Good luck on getting the other auto of Mrs. C!

  • Also remember how the first few seasons were filmed on locations like a movie and not videotaped in front of an audience. I kind of liked those better as they were a little more realistic. If I remember correctly, the pilot was an episode of Love American Style.

And I agree with speeder. No matter how corny the show got, once Richie left, the show was done.
