I know these things are popular but I don't quite know why this original art when for this kind of dough!
This one is the Gadzooka Bubble Gum original art from the Toppsvault, and it went for almost 15 Grand!!!!

    Well, it is a Norm Saunders, so that would explain some of the price, bit 15 grand is a bit large, IMHO.

    guess it's rare, maybe even more so that sports stuff.

    As Mark has pointed out - this is a Saunders piece and the guy is an icon - the Norman Rockwell of pop art - I just never thought it would go for this kind of dough!

    Looking at the bidders list seems de-mented was willing to go much higher too. Even so, I just don't think it is worth that much regardless of who drew it. But then again it was worth it (and well worth it ) to some demented guy.
